LOVB Nebraska Releases 2027 Schedule, Announces Grand Island Match Dates & Opponents

Grand Island, Neb. – Professional women's volleyball is coming back to Grand Island, and this time, fans will have TWO opportunities to experience the excitement!

LOVB Nebraska will return to the BigIron Events Center to host LOVB Atlanta on Saturday, January 23, and LOVB Minnesota on Saturday, March 13, as part of the team's 2026-27 League One Volleyball (LOVB) Pro season.

The announcement follows an unforgettable Grand Island debut on March 7, 2026, when more than 5,000 fans packed the BigIron Events Center for a sold-out match that saw LOVB Nebraska sweep LOVB Salt Lake.

Building on that tremendous response from Central Nebraska volleyball fans, LOVB Nebraska is doubling down on Grand Island with two opportunities to watch some of the world's top professional volleyball players compete close to home.

The return of professional volleyball to Grand Island highlights the community's enthusiasm for volleyball and the BigIron Events Center's ability to host premier sporting events. The addition of a second match in 2027 is designed to give Central Nebraska volleyball fans even more opportunities to experience the growing professional women's game without traveling to Omaha or Lincoln.

The Grand Island appearances are part of LOVB Nebraska's 22-match regular-season schedule, which includes 11 home matches across Omaha, Grand Island and Lincoln.

The 2026-27 season also marks an exciting period of growth for LOVB, which has expanded to 10 teams and introduced conference play for the first time. LOVB Nebraska will compete in the Eastern Conference alongside Atlanta, Madison, Miami and Minnesota.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, November 10 and will be available via the BigIron Events Center box office as well as Ticketmaster.com.
