Alcohol Compliance Checks Held in Dawson County

Nebraska State Patrol

NOVEMBER 6, 2026 (NORTH PLATTE, NEB.)  —   Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have conducted alcohol compliance checks in Dawson County.

During the evening hours of Tuesday October 27, 2026, investigators conducted alcohol compliance checks at several businesses in Dawson County.

In total, 10 businesses were checked.  One of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 90%.  All businesses checked the minor’s identification before sale.

The businesses checked included convivence stores, grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores and bars.

Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission.  Clerks who sell alcohol to minors are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.

This project is funded 100% by Region II Human Services SUPTBG ($427,899.00) from the Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services Block Grant (1B08TI088119-01 and 1B08TI088483-01) through SAMHSA, contracted through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health.
