GICC Presents Seussical the Musical

Grand Island Central Catholic presents Seussical the Musical. Music by Stephen Flaherty, Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Book by Luke Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Co-conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Eric Idle, based on the works of Dr Seuss Show dates are March 20 at 7:30PM and March 21 and 22 at 2PM at Central Catholic 1200 N Ruby, Grand Island.

Seussical the Musical is a fantastical, family-friendly musical that weaves together many of Dr Seuss’s most famous books, primarily “Horton Hears a Who!”, “Gertrude McFuzz” and “Horton Hatches the Egg”. Guided by the Cat in the Hat, the story follows Horton the Elephant as he protects the tiny inhabitants of Whoville, teaching lessons on friendship, loyalty, and the power of imagination.

The cast consists of…Thomas Birch as the Cat in the Hat, Ella Meyer as Jojo, Harrison McClure as Horton, Jacie Palik as Gertrude McFuzz, Molly Kenna as Mayzie LaBird, Andrew Logue as Mr Mayor, Kenley Bogner as Mrs Mayor, Maci Clausen as Sour Kangaroo, Madden Leiting, Cooper Kasten and Troy Morris as the Wickersham Brothers, Julianna Anderson, Madyn Reilly, Jacey Stegman and Keiley Weise as Bird Girls, Colt Krolikowski as General Genghis Khan Schmitz, Ryan Hollister as The Grinch, Addison Carraher as Vlad Vladikoff, Isabella Denney as Judge Yertle the Turtle, Ava Gellatly and Jovianna Cure are Thing 1 and 2. Ensemble (Judges and Circus Animals, Whos, Hunches and Cadets) include Makayla Rollins, Mackenzie Logue, Paige Lonnemann, Rielyn Hanzel, Kendall Kelly, Claire Chmelka, Emillie Stump, Kennedy Conner, Paula Conner and Hagar Nadir.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students K-12. They are available with a QR code online or at the door before the performance.
