BNSF Closing Crossings in Hastings

The City of Hastings Street Department will assist with signage as the BNSF Railway closes the crossings on A and B streets early next week for track work.
The BNSF crossings on A Street and B Street between Keystone Avenue and Emerson Avenue will be closed to through traffic just after 8 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026 for work that will prepare the crossings for installation of new concrete crossing panels later in the summer.
Keystone Avenue and Emerson Avenue will serve as detours. A Street and B Street will be open to local traffic between Keystone Avenue and Emerson Avenue and the closed crossings.
The work is expected to take one to 1 ½ days. The crossings are scheduled to reopen by Tuesday afternoon, June 16.
