Aurora Basketball Visits O'Neill on Saturday

The Aurora basketball teams make the long road trip of O'Neill Saturday.

The girls game should be competitive. The Huskies (8-4) played defending C1 runner-up Milford tough before falling 43-34 on Thursday.  O'Neill (12-1) handled Ainsworth 67-37. Kaitlyn Staehr is averaging 10 points per game for Aurora. Hannah Hilker is putting in 18 and Bergyn Classen is averaging 15 for the Eagles.

The Aurora boys (10-3) rallied from nine down at the half for a 51-39 win over Milford on Thursday. O'Neill (3-9) defeated Ainsworth 53-45. Ryan Staehr, who scored a season high 20 against Milford, is averaging 13  a game. Cannon Allen is scoring 12. Jaxson Slage is putting in 10. For O'Neill, Turner Heiss is scoring 17 while Ryder Kelly averages 12.
